Aprons in the Wind"
Aprons on display May 10th-12th until 6pm
The Lakes Gallery of Fine Art extends the invitation to dedicate a fabric apron to your mother, grandmother, sister, or a special woman. In tribute, the colorful aprons will be displayed on a clothes line that will span the outdoor property of the gallery. The installation will be an annual event for Mothers Day weekends to follow in years to come.
DETAILS: The aprons will become a permanent part of the exhibit that will be displayed in every on Mother's Day weekend. NOTE: Aprons will not be returned. Rain or shine exhibit. Aprons accepted year round!
* Each apron to identify the lady of honor with her name, dates or message with a permanent marker or fabric tag. * The apron can be vintage or newly purchased, handcrafted, knit - be creative!. * There are no limits of number of aprons for dedication. Aprons will not be returned.

Lakes Art & Antique Mart Seeking artists, fine crafters & collectible/antique sellers. Every 1st Saturday of the month for June, July, August & September from 8 am - 12 noon at The Lakes Gallery of Fine Art, just 1 block east of Hwy 83 on State Rd. V. V. in downtown North Lake.

Shakespeare Summer Party Summer 2008 (Looks like Wil & Liz will be available June 25 or 26th - stay tuned!) By popular demand of the Town Hall Library, Shakespeare is returning to The Lakes Gallery of Fine Art and bringing his friend, Liz. She prefers to be called Queen Elizabeth.
Character actors from the Milwaukee Shakespearean Theatre will be joined by a quartet from the Waukesha Symphony for a delightful summer garden party. Details are being developed.
There will be limited tickets available. Call the gallery to be included on the early invitation list. Ticket proceeds to benefit the Town Hall Library building fund. (262) 966-1804

Sitting Down With a Good Book Is the theme for The Lakes Gallery of Fine Art, 1st Chair Exhibit and Auction during the Shakespeare Summer Garden Party in July 2008. The exhibit will feature chairs, artistically rendered by Wisconsin artists, that depict a book/novel title, author or other "library" related concept. Each chair is a unique, collector's item and will be awarded to the highest bidder during the events Silent Auction. Auction proceeds to benefit the Town Hall Library Building Fund.

North Lake Harvest Festival - September 20, 2008. In conjunction with the North Lake town parade & celebration, the gallery will host The Wildlife in Need Organization. The organization will provide valueable information about Wisconsin's endangered species and bring fur and feathered friends to visit.
