Maurine Willey - Ceramics
Ms. Willey is an accomplished and award winning ceramic artist. These little wood fired, birds and their cousins are on exhibit at the gallery. Wood firing requires approximately 4 days in a wood powered kiln. Only a cream colored, slip glaze is applied to the pieces, then placed in a kiln where the flames lick the pieces for the 4 days and create the wonderful burnish colors.
