"Sitting Down With a Good Book" 
Is the theme for The Lakes Gallery of Fine Art, 1st Chair Exhibit and Auction during the Shakespeare Summer Garden Party in June 25th, 2008.

The exhibit will feature chairs, artistically rendered by Wisconsin artists, that depicts a book/novel title, author or "library" related concept. Each chair will be awarded to the highest bidder during a Silent Auction. Auction proceeds to benefit the Town Hall Library Building Fund.

Each artist may choose to donate the chair or set a minimum bid. This minimum bid amount will belong to the artist. In addition, there will be one "Best Chair In The House" award of $250

Artists, of any age, are invited to submit designs depicting the finished chair by submitting a sketch and concept of finished chair. A panel of 3 will select the designs. Deadline for illustrations May 24th, 2008. Notification of accepted chair designs by May 31st.
